This project renovated two (Restuarant and Lounge Renovation) of the dining venues in the hotel. We replaced the existing traditional hotel restaurant with a more contemporary casual dining experience. We reimagined the dining experience to reflect a look and feel inspired by Northern California’s rolling hills by the use of material, colors and art. The upgrade included dividing the restaurant into a bar and lounge section next to the dining area with a chef’s table for parties and special events.
THE SENATOR BAR
The former Senate building in Sacramento was renovated into offices. Our project was to create a restaurant space that would accommodate a daytime lunch crowd and would then transition to a nighttime bar venue for the businesses and lobbyists who haunt the nearby State capital. The bar is conveniently located across the street from the state capital in Sacramento. The design of the bar includes space that expands out the patio and the outdoor space at the front of the building to connect to the street and downtown walking traffic
FOUR SEASONS RIYADH MAIN RESTAURANT RENOVATIONS
Our remit was to refresh the two hotel restaurants in order to accommodate the growing business and social center of the hotel. Elements, the new buffet restaurant, is an expansion of the original restaurant with a large patisserie and dessert area for afternoon service and take out orders. The design inspiration was traditional Middle Eastern bazaars with each food station having a unique look.
Rosso, the hotel’s formal Italian restaurant, was updated to be anchored with a center antipasto bar surrounded by different dining room areas, the family area and man’s dining area as required by local traditions, and a special larger dining table for group and events. The look and feel of the restaurant draws inspiration from the city of Rome and it’s renown as the center of the Italian film world.
HILTON ANATOLE LOBBY, PUBLIC AREAS AND GROUND FLOOR FOOD VENUE RENOVATIONS
A family-owned, large convention hotel renovation to accommodate the new downtown conference center. The lobby and public area inspiration was based on the family’s personal large Asian art collection that is not a part of their downtown museum collection. The large Atrium courtyard area was centered with a diagonal Zen fountain surrounded by an indoor garden, with seating and lounge areas for breakout space for convention visitors to casually gather and meet. The whole garden and fountain are positioned beneath a 15-story Atrium and skylight that was a special commissioned art installation piece. The project contains a “Grab and Go” food venue that can be transformed from serving quick breakfast offerings to an evening wine bar.
